From this Organization the IT training will be given free of charge for the children with special name and we hope to give this service for the children with special needs in all Island.
Our Organization hope to categories the children according to their need train them under a special staff and after that direct them for various jobs throw different Organizations and we need the support of from the donors to give them a meal and milk free of charge.
Arogya foundation with the divisional secretariat together conducts this program and the divisional secretariat has promise to give a land free of charge to build the premises. The existing building that we are conducting the classes at the moment the spaces not enough we would like to thank Mr.Andy Soh and the other foreigners who have supported safer to make this program a success and we invite all others to be with us to make this a success.

Mr. Tai chi Master Chow Cheong King in Singapore and his friends donated $1000 for the program. Rev Unapana Ariyadhamma Thero the director general of the Arogya foundation for the disabled and members of it participated for donation program on 1st of May 2015 and the special Buddha Pooja ( praying for the Lord Buddha) is going to be held on 2nd of May 2015 ( on Tai Chi Master's Birthday) at the Bodhirukkarama Temple at Ingiriya in Sri Lanka. Arogya  Foundation for the Disabled commemorated  Children’s and Elders’ day on 5th October, 2013 at  Damana, Madana in the District of  Ampare, in the Eastern Province of  Sri Lanka in collaboration with  the  District Secretariat of Ampare.

The Commemoration cerebration headed by the Chief Incumbent  Rev. Kotagoda Gunananda Thero  of the Aloka  Raja Maha  Vihara was built  during the rule of king  Saddhatissa  in the village of Damana. This occasion  was associated by Rev. Unapana Ariyadhamma Thero Director General and Rev. Yushi Shimada  (Japan) Patron of the  Arogya Foundation for  the  Disabled  in Sri Lanka along with Mr. H.M.Jayantha Premalal  District Social  Service Officer -  Colombo,  Head Quarter Inspector and other officers of the Damana Police Station, Mr. Ajith Nishantha  Member of the Local Government,  Grama Seva Naladhari Mr. Udara Nilupul, Mr.  A.S.R.Abeykoon  President, Mr. A.M. Dharmapala  Vice Presidnt,  Mr. Nimal of the Samadhi Gramiya Elders Committee,  Mr. S. Kumara Dissanayake,  Deputy Post Master of Madana,  Mr. P.A.Gunawardana Assistant Secretary, Committee Members Mr. Nihal Vithanachchi, Mr. Chathuranga Bandara Yapa and  Mrs. Nayana Wickremasinghe  represented  the Arogya Foundation for the disabled and Dignitaries, Guests,  Invitees, donors, Elders who observed SIL and School Children living in  the village and participants.

Background

This is a village subjected to a war zone disrupting daily living of  people who are  seeking a re-habilitation  process  to  become development partners of the society.  The Children’s dream to acquire knowledge and   literacy  to ensure family protection and self development of  their future becoming  true. Most significantly the day was secluded to commemorate both by the children and elders bind ties together to relay combined   life in a most religious   and peaceful  manner.                                                        

Theme

Children are the future developers.  Elders are those who guide them. 
Activities

Distribution of school books to children

School books for 106 students studying at schools in the Madana Village were presented by the Dignitaries and Invitees who graced  this ceremony to mark the children’s day and  encouraged  them in furthering their studies.  The books were donated by Mr. Nilantha Somasiri, an Executive of the Hatton National Bank Head Quarters in Colombo  and  Dr. (Mrs.) K.A.L.Dilani attached to the Teaching Hospital of the Colombo South, being the  Committee member and Secretary of the Arogya Foundation for the Disabled, respectively.  This meritorious social service act was graciously appreciated by the villagers of  Damana, Madana of the Ampara District in Sri Lanka.

Distribution of White cloths to Elders 

The  Samadhi Gramiya Elders Committee of the Damana, Madana village in the District of Ampara commemorated the elders day by observing SIL (called Prathipaththi Puja – maintaining Principles of Dhamma) at a ceremonial occasion held on the 5th of October, 2013  where  a uniform  clothing was presented by the Invitees.

The picture depicts the occasion when donations received by Rev. Unapana Ariyadhamma Thero the Director General of the Arogy Foundation for the Disabled was handed over to Mrs. Manoja Shyamali Perera the Child Rights Promoting Officer of the Kasbewa Divisional Secretariat. The presentation will take place on 4th October, 2013 at the celebration scheduled to mark the World Children’s day organized by the Divisional Secretariat, Kasbewa, in the Western Province of Sri Lanka.

In response to our call for face book friends Dr. (Mrs) K.A.L.Dilani Secretary and Mr. Nilantha Somasiri Committee Member of the Foundation donated 500 exercise books to be distributed among 100 students living at most under privileged area of Madana, Damana in the District of Ampara in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka, at the world children’s day celebration organized by the Divisional Secretariat of Ampara.

The intention of the contribution of Rs: 10,000 by Ms. Lalani Pathirana was to transfer its merits to her Mother and the members of the family for wishing healthy life. Having placed that in mind the Foundation felt deem fit to re-donate this contribution to the ‘ Sri Lanka Buddhist Association for the Blind’ to partner in the process of transcribing the PIRUVANA POTH VAHANSE into BRAILLE for the first time in Sri Lanka benefitting Blind readers.

This priceless contribution was handed over by the Director General Rev. Unapana Ariyadhamma Thero of the Foundation and the Guest of Honour Ven. Yushi Shimada of Japan at the 7th Anniversary of the Arogya Foundation for the Disabled in Sri Lanka held on the 19th May, 2013 to Mrs. Biso Menike Marasinghe the President of the Sri Lanka Buddhist Association for the Blind.

This occasion was graced by the Most Ven. Udahamulla Saranapala Thero (The President), Mr. Hasanjith Kuruppuarachchi (Vice President), Dr. (Mrs.) K.A.L.Dilani (Secretary), Mr. Gamini Dahanayake (Treasurer), Mr. Upali Jayaratne (Asst. Secretary) of the Foundation and Mr. P.A.Gunawardana (Coordinating Secretary) of the Sri Lanka Buddhist Association for the Blind.

Ven. Yushi Shimada (Sri Lanka International Buddhist Academy – SLBA) of Japan graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour at the 7 th Annual General Meeting held on 19th May, 2013 at the Nalandaramaya Buddhist Temple, Pathiragoda, Maharagama, Sri Lanka.

A financial assistance of SLK Rs: 10,000 from Rev. Yushi Shimada of Japan for the implementation of the proposed project of Establishment of the health Centre for the sick monks and Disabled children in Sri Lanka was meritoriously accepted.

He was appointed as a Patron of the Foundation in consideration of his unblemished record of participation and support so far extended.

In appreciation of the services rendered to the Foundation he was felicitated ceremonially presenting a statue of Lord Buddha by Most Ven. Udahamulle Saranapale Nayake Thero the President of the Foundation. Among the gathering Rev. Unapana Ariyadhamma Thero the Director General of the Foundation was also present at this occasion.
